New Signature acquires another Canadian solution provider

New Signature has acquired one of the more well-known solution providers in Microsoft’s Canadian partner ecosystem in Imason Inc. just five months after the Washington, D.C.-company bought CMS Consulting of Toronto.

Imason is one of Microsoft Canada’s top application development solution providers and the deal helps New Signature, which captured U.S. partner of the year award at the recently concluded Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, with its strategic directive to expand service offerings in the cloud and provide of custom line of business applications for customers.

This past June New Signature’s CMS acquisition also included Infrastructure Guardian, a sister company of CMS. The deal resulted in New Signature establishing roots in Canada and making Brian Bourne the new president of New Signature Canada.

Both CMS and Imason worked closely together on past engagements. The combined team won the 2015 Microsoft Canada Impact Award in the category of “Winning Together” for their joint work on a strategic project to transform software solutions in to fully managed services via Microsoft Azure.

According to New Signature, Imason will operate as a brand of the company and Jeff Dunmall, the founder and president of Imason will now report to New Signature CEO Jeff Tench.

New Signature plans to introduce the Imason brand as part of a cloud managed service which also has 24×7 monitoring, patch management, and remediation services.

Tench said Imason brings to New Signature not only a deep understanding of application development but also an acute awareness of the role that user experience plays within this area of technology.

New Signature describes itself as a Microsoft specific national solution provider. The new executive leadership team will be made up of Tench, Bourne, Neil Hobbs and Christopher Hertz.

Imason was founded in 1999 and specializes in knowledge management, relationship management, and enterprise mobility solutions for Office 365, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM. During its time in the market, Imason won over customers not just in Canada but in the U.S. as well.

Transitioning to Microsoft’s cloud means bringing a complete set of Microsoft capabilities to our customers, and joining New Signature accomplishes that.” Dunmall said.
